Always concerned about customer satisfaction, Miracema-Nuodex has already been approved regarding the updating of its ISO 9001:2000 certification, which is to become ISO 9001:2008 as of November 14, 2010. To enable this to occur, the company already has been audited and the ISO 9001:2008 certification was recommended. The certificate itself will shortly be issued by the certifying agency.

According to the Brazilian Technical Norms Association, which specifies the requirements for Quality Management Systems in the country, an organization must demonstrate the capacity to supply products that satisfy customer needs along with the applicable regulatory requirements.

The certification objective is always to increase customer satisfaction. Thus, in 2008 ISO 9001:2000 was updated, with some alterations that made it even more complete. Therefore, all of the organizations certified through the 2000 version now must make the transition to the 2008 version.

The purpose of the ISO is to promote the regulation of products and services so that their quality is permanently being improved. This family of rules or requirements helps to enhance internal processes, improve employee training, boost environmental monitoring and check up on customer, employee and supplier satisfaction through a continuous process to improve quality management systems.

For a company, the adoption of the ISO norms is advantageous because they offer greater organization, productivity and credibility — elements that are easily identified by the customers — increasing its competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
