Miracema-Nuodex, a traditional manufacturer of chemical inputs and specialty products with a presence in the market since 1954, presents its new generation and most complete line of AFFF - Aqueous Film Forming Foam. After extensive laboratory research and field-testing, the company developed and now is offering products with the latest technology for protection and fighting of fires from fuel and/or flammable liquids.

These are synthetic, high performance and atoxic of the AFFF type. The safe, fast and efficient fighting of a fire is an important requirement in minimizing the impacts generated by it. Therefore, it is necessary to use equipment and fire-fighting installations that are in perfect condition along with the use of appropriate and effective products. For the different application areas, Miracema-Nuodex’s AFFF line includes 10 types of products formulated with high performance raw materials.

All products are certified to the ABNT NBR 15511 standard, which establishes rigorous performance criteria for fire fighting foams. Compliance Certificate no. 184.001/12.
The certification is a guarantee for the user that the performance of the end product has been subjected to periodic fire testing and regular audits of the manufacturer’s quality system.

The indication and selection of the correct type of AFFF is extremely important and decisive for the effective extinction of fire.
This choice is a complex process, because it depends on many factors such as: type of liquid fuel stored and equipment in use. We have a specialized team available to users to orient their selection of the options.

Indications for use

The Liovac® AFFF line can be used to efficiently extinguish fires in flammable (Class B) liquids and fuels.

In fires deriving from hydrocarbons, such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene and other petroleum products, Liovac® AFFF HC and AV types are used.

Fires in polar solvents such as alcohol, acetone and flammable liquids are fought with Liovac® AFFF AR.

AFFF foams can also be applied in Class A fires and those from wood, plastics, fabrics and dry materials in general, since the low surface tension of the drained liquid (aqueous film) makes it possible to moisten the materials being burned, penetrating exposed surfaces and extinguishing the outbreaks of the fire.

Technical characteristics

The Liovac® AFFF product line contains different types of AFFF to meet various applications and needs.

The consumer shouldn´t mix different brands of LGE without performing the test miscibility provided in the standard.
The guarantee of product will be excluded in case of mixing with other brands without the performing of this miscibility test.
